Privacy Policy

Effective September 14, 2026

crazyade ("we", "us") builds small games and tools. This policy explains what information we handle when you visit crazyade.com (the "Site") or use an app we publish (such as FocusEgg — together, the "Services"), and what choices you have.

The short version: our apps keep your data on your device, we run no ad or analytics trackers, and we never sell personal information.

1. Information we collect

We collect as little as we can. Depending on how you use the Services:

  • Website — When you visit the Site, our hosting provider (Vercel) automatically records standard server-log data such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you request and timestamps. We use this only to keep the Site running and secure.
  • Language preference — The Site stores a cookie named NEXT_LOCALE so it can remember the language you chose. It contains nothing but a language code.
  • Apps — Everything you create in our apps (for example focus sessions, hatched creatures, settings and progress in FocusEgg) is stored locally on your device. It is not uploaded to us and we cannot see it.
  • Device sensors — Some apps use your device's motion sensors on-device (FocusEgg detects when the phone is placed face down). Sensor readings are processed instantly and never leave your device.
  • Notifications — If you allow notifications, the app schedules reminders locally. We do not run a push server and do not receive a push token.
  • App updates — Our apps may check for updates through Expo's update service. Such a request includes basic technical information needed to serve the right build (platform, app and runtime version, and a random installation identifier). It is not linked to your identity.
  • Email — If you contact us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in the message. We use it only to reply.

2. What we do not do

  • We do not require an account and do not ask for your name, phone number or payment details.
  • We do not use advertising SDKs, third-party analytics, or cross-app tracking.
  • We do not sell, rent or trade personal information.
  • We do not knowingly collect information from children under 14. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

3. How we use information

  • To operate, secure and improve the Site and apps.
  • To deliver the correct app build and updates to your device.
  • To respond when you contact us.
  • To comply with law.

4. Service providers

We rely on a few providers to run the Services. They process data only as needed to provide their service to us:

  • Vercel Inc. — hosting and delivery of the Site (server logs).
  • Expo (650 Industries, Inc.) — app build and update delivery.
  • Apple App Store and Google Play — app distribution. Purchases, if any, are handled entirely by the store under its own privacy policy; we receive no payment details.

These providers may store data outside your country, including in the United States.

5. Retention

  • Server logs are kept by our hosting provider for a short period (typically less than 30 days) and then deleted.
  • The language cookie persists until you clear it or it expires (one year).
  • App data lives on your device for as long as the app is installed. Uninstalling the app deletes it.
  • Emails are kept only as long as needed to handle your request.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the Korean Personal Information Protection Act, the GDPR or Japan's APPI), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal information, or to object to certain processing.

Because we hold almost no personal data, most requests can be satisfied by you directly: uninstall the app to delete its data, or clear cookies to remove the language preference. For anything else, email us and we will respond within 30 days.

7. Security

The Site is served over HTTPS. App data stays on your device and is protected by your device's own security. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what little data we handle.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the Services change. The effective date at the top shows the latest revision; for significant changes we will post a notice on the Site.

9. Contact

Questions or requests about this policy can be sent to hello@crazyade.com. crazyade is the data controller for the Services described here.
